ugh this suxs i almost fell asleep i like asus laptops but i”m not selling my ipad for this crap i don’t think it’s asus’s fault all the people promoting their stuff and doing reviews suck at mustering an ounce of voice inflection .
if this thing could only run photoshop, or a similar program. Id get a job to buy one
Mobo player can actually play *.mkv files, you just have to change the decoding mode.
Do you have this thing hooked up to a wifi connection or like a 4g connection it is super fast especially with the navigation feature
@fetakill No. MS isn’t supported, but it has Polaris Office. This will work, atleast while you are on the go!
That was an excellent review, thank you for sharing. I have an Adam now, but when it is time to replace it, I will be buying the latest Transformer.
Can you watch megavideo on it? Or can open microsoft word, excel or powerpoint? Need answers to buy one!!
Really nice video! congrats!
@yomammaspoodle it’s only WIFI
@Airsmoke99 you can if you tether it to a smartphone
I’m SO thinking about getting one of these – I’m not a big fan of the cloud stuff, but I really like the My Desktop feature. But – can you do file transfers this way?
Very informative, thanks for making this video.
Can you please tell me if this eee pad will be available in different colors ?
Is mp4 the other hd video format that is not supported?
Really good review, thanks. I could listen to you all day you have a very nice voice that is easy to listen to
Do you have to get a 4G or 3G service with it or is it just Wi-fi?
i forgot to say your welcome..i was running out of characters lol
yes Andy at the same time you are saving space ..
my 12bg pirates of the Caribbean bluray 1080p video converts down to 998 mb at 80% compression
95% compression i get 1.8 gb
as for it being trouble some,
i agreed but, i weigh those pros and cons of filesizes and quanity, i have a video library of over 600 bluray movies, i know about trouble some encoding!
however, when converting properly, i can get 32 hd movies on a 32g sd card
that are beautiful looking plus the space of the onboard free
@ryanrrx O, Don’t get me wrong, the Video plays perfectly fine, butterly smooth in 1080P with MPEG4 container. But it doesn’t quite support high profile videos at the moment. Your method will work, its just kinda troublesome to convert all the videos files. thanks for the info
you have the update right? 3.1?
the only video problems im reading about are streaming media, not media thats stored on the pad itself or the sdhc slot!
do you mind to telling us if the video is stored on the machine memory or the sdhc memory?
also what is the resolution of the video, the container, compression format used, file size please
it can be fixed
i believe that if the video is a x264 compression with mpeg4 container even the stock player will do just fine@ 1280×544 with a 4 gig video
I sad to hear it’s lagging you, I have the aluratek home cinema, it’s play great 1280×540 zero stuttering, I down converted the videos myself with x264 mpeg4 container!
I feel part of the problem is with full 1920×1080 and the memory card maybe you need v10 sdhc card? The transfer is faster!
My transformer will be here Friday for me to confirm my downscale method works as well
@Airsmoke99 no, you need internet connection, you c preset you destination at home and then leave the house, that’ll work. Otherwise you’ll need some type of offline GPS app since the map data not stored on the tab
@kcjliu yes, 16 languages can be chose for the interface, including Chinese, jap, Eng, french, Russian, Thai, etc.
@ryanrrx you can view it using rockplayer, tiny stuttering for 720p, but not bad at all
can u use the gps on the rd and if u can how do u do it
Hey man, good job on the review! It’s really detailed. However, I also wanna ask you if users will be able to change the interface language on this device (e.g. from Traditional Chinese to English or vice versa)? Thanks!
